Sweet little baby Levi came to see me last month for his newborn portrait session, and he was such a good boy! At first he thought that he was going to stay awake, but Momma convinced him otherwise - a little milk, and he was out cold for the entire session! Sleeping... well, like a baby!

Grace | Ct. Newborn Baby Photographer

Sweet little Grace, along with her twin brother Ben were in for their newborn portraits last week. They were so excited to meet their mom and dad, that they made their way into the world about 11 weeks early! After a couple weeks in the NICU, they are now enjoying their newborn days at home with Mommy & Daddy!

Natalie & Mark came to the studio for their newborn session about 8 days before their due date! They were so excited to meet their mommy & daddy, that they decided to join them early! They were about 10 weeks old for their session, and did amazingly well!!

Aiden's 8th Birthday Party: Minecraft | Pinterest Mom For A Day

My son turned 8 on January 11th. He always has to pick the most difficult of party themes, I swear!! Two years ago, for his 6th birthday he wanted a Lego party. Great. Except there was no Lego party anything to be found. Last year, we did Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not so bad. This year: MINECRAFT. There are ZERO Minecraft party supplies in existence in the universe. So what do you do then? IMPROVISE!!! Etsy is my best friend. Ever. Of course, its my checking accounts arch nemesis... but I love it just the same!! Then theres Pinterest. A Pinterest Mom I am not. Aint nobody got time for that. But, if you attended this party, you wouldn't have known it!!

Aiden wanted a Minecraft party. As with all spoiled loved children, Aiden gets what he wants. So I set out on a quest to have the best party ever. Pretty sure I nailed it!! If you're trying to plan a Minecraft birthday party for your son, let me help you!! I will include all of the vendors and links I used to pull this amazing party off!!! :)

1. GOODIE BAGS:
I don't usually do goodie bags. Not even sure what got into me with the goodie bag thing. But I did goodie bags. It was fun to make them, and the kids loved them!!!

Raw Fish: Swedish Fish

Snowballs: Mini Marshmallows

Blaze Rods: Pretzel Sticks

Gold Budder: Rolos

TNT: Red & Black Twizzlers (no one ate the black! HAA!)

also included were bookmarks and a fake diamond (no photos of the diamonds - oops!)

2. FOOD: 

I tried to keep the food for the kids limited to food thats actually in the Minecraft game. I think we did good!

Creeper Juice : Sprite

Potions: Water

Included: Invisibility, Healing, Strength, Regeneration, Weakness, Poision - and a few others!

Grilled Cheese: Made on mini slices of bread! 

My husband asked if I knew that it was Jewish Rye bread. Yes I knew. It was all that was available mini! hahahaa!!! Other than pumpernickel - and no ones passing that off for kids to eat!

Hot dogs: mini pigs in a blanket 

Dirt Grass: Rice Krispie Treats decorated with green frosting using a Wilton grass tip!

Obsidian: Oreos

Gold Budder: Rolos

Raw Fish: Swedish Fish

Trapdoor: Pretzel squares

Carrots: Cheese Puffs (cheetos of course!)

3. TABLE/DECORATIONS: 

Green tablecloths of course, a black one for the table that the goodie bags were displayed on,  green & black plates (I searched high and low for square ones but couldn't find them! hahahaa So we settled for green!), green & black balloons - some of which I drew creeper faces on with a sharpie! (I tied them onto string and made them like the banner, and hung one from the mantle, and the other from the other window in my living room) Steve & Creeper heads, birthday banner, and green & black streamers (no picture) and Minecraft swords hung on the window with 3M Command stickies!

Noteworthy: he and daddy had matching creeper shirts. Mommy failed to get a picture of the two of them together in them, so Im going to have to make them put them back on!! haha a

4. PARTY ENTERTAINMENT :  

Best money spent EVER!!!

We rented a gaming truck!!! The kids LOVED it, and had a BLAST! I had never heard of such a thing before, but it was a huge hit, at one point all of the kids were in it at once (we started the party with 16 kids when it arrived - which is max capacity for the truck!) and all the adults were saying it was the best kid party ever! hahahaa It had (4) 50" flat screens, Wiis, XBOXs, and PlayStations - and all the games you could imagine!!! It was here for 2 hours! Everyone loved it - kids and parents!

5. CAKE & COOKIES. No party is complete without a cake, right?!! Of course, it had to be THE Minecraft cake!!! And I had to get the creeper cookies too!!!

2012 Monthly Photo Challenge | SEPTEMBER | Black and White | Connecticut Newborn Baby Photographer

Here we are! Month nine of our monthly photo challenge! I cant believe this year is quickly coming to an end! Its so crazy how quickly time flies!!

This months photo challenge colors are Black and White. We were allowed to choose photographs taken of black and white objects, or photos that have been converted to black and white. Woohoo! I love black and white! :) So, here we go!

Miss Madyson came to see me on the 8th day of her beautiful new little life. She was sweet enough to shoot me a quick little smile for these shots ;) hehehee

This is Tommy. He was in on day 6. I just love love love love loved all of his little chunky rolls!!! 

And this is my crazy husband. Enough said. hahahahaa I am sure he will be so excited to be featured on my blog - in nerd glasses no less! hahahahaa! Those strawberry cupcakes btw.... delish! He made them from scratch - including the buttercream frosting - and they were to die for!!! 

and here is my freshie little puppy! Hes such a bad boy! This photograph totally captured his personality, and how he feels about photo sessions!!! :) He was not pleased. At all.

2012 Monthly Photo Challenge | AUGUST | Rainbow - Bright | Connecticut Newborn Baby Photographer

Once again, late as usual. My apologies. In my defense, our submission deadline for this month's challenge was on the night of my daughter's 13th birthday, and the night before her party, so as you can imagine there was big stuff happening in the Puzzo house :)

So, as you know I have joined forces with some online photographer friends to do a monthly photo challenge. Each month is a different color, and we all post photos representing our interpretation of that months color choices. August was Rainbow - bright colors - any or all bright colors of the rainbow. A little tricky for me, since I am mainly a newborn photographer, and I tend to use more pastel colors 90% of the time :) With that being said, I managed to round up a few photos for your viewing pleasure :)

In honor of my daughter's birthday, lets start with a photo of her :)

Just like with the adorable picture of my son below from last month, I am the proud owner of a beautiful 16x24 canvas of this gorgeous picture. Im glad I took these the day she had her hair colored purple - because it washed right out ;) Ahhhh. I cant believe my baby is 13!!!

Well, lets keep moving along - to other people's babies ;) heheheee

This little diva is Miss Hannah. All she wanted to do during her session was take a nap ;) hahahaa! She made us work, but her Momma is going to love the shots I got! :)

I'll sneak this one in too. My little man again. A little mini back to school nerd set up ;) 

This is Miss Bianca in all of her gorgeous rainbow colors! :) She just turned one - and again, made me work - but Momma is going to be in love with her images from her session! She is one of the prettiest babies Ive ever had the pleasure to photograph - her eyes are TO DIE FOR!!!!!

2012 Monthly Photo Challenge | JULY | Red, White, and/or Blue | Connecticut Newborn Baby Photographer

Hello all! Welcome back to another episode of my monthly color challenge! Naturally, with it being July, this months theme was red, white and blue! This month, I have a couple photos for your viewing pleasure!

First up is one of my own: this is my little man, Aiden. He is definitely a photographers child. He got a new outfit {that he picked out on his own} on Sunday, and put it on yesterday, and requested a photo shoot! Since I dont take enough photos of my own kids, I was very happy to go along with his request! I got some very adorable shots which I have yet to edit - but this one was my favorite out of the bunch, so of course I did a quick edit right away - and promptly ordered a nice big 16x24 canvas of this one! ;)

He is 6, and has the best personality ever!!! <3

Next up on my list is my little family {minus one} on 4th of July - obviously I didnt TAKE this one, since Im in it - but I did set it up - so I helped before jumping in front of the camera! ;)

and, as a bonus I have a couple more cute baby girls to share with you all today!!

First up is little Arabella Snow. Dont you adore her name?!! She was 12 days old here, and a tiny little thing weighing in at 5lbs and change! What a cutie she is!

So sweet!!! 

and then last, but not least! Miss Madelyn! She is just about 8 months old, and was the happiest, smileyist baby!! I could have kept taking pictures of her for days!!! 

Ahhh! Isnt she gorgeous?!!

2012 Monthly Photo Challenge | JUNE | Pastel | Connecticut Newborn Baby Photographer

Hello everyone! Another month has passed, another photo challenge to post!

The colors for June's photo challenge were "PASTEL/RAINBOW" - so basically and and all pastel colors we can think of! Ive been insanely busy between the studio, editing, and kids activities, so I didnt really have the time to get creative like I wanted to this month! If youre catching this for the first time, I am involved with a group of photographers who have joined in a monthly photography challenge - each month, we are presented with different colors, and on the 26th of each month, we post our photos of those colors. Its always fun to see each different photographers interpretation of the same color(s)!

For this month, I chose some pictures of Miss Lucianna :) Lucianna just so happens to be the cousin of the baby I posted last month, Isabelle! Their mommies are cousins, and their birthdays are just a few days apart from eachother, just like Isabelle and Lucianna! :)
